Boy, that WAS "back in the day"...along with the facts this car, base, had a 302 5-liter that put out 220HP and weighed a touch over 3,100 lbs are these other bits of trivia:

Avg. Car Cost $3,270
Avg. Household Income $9,302
Avg. Home $15,500
Avg. Gallon of Gas $0.35

My, how times have changed!

Great find on the cars.

Noting that Ashi lives in NW Iowa .... I was referring to the Cyclones and the Hawkeyes.

Does anybody truly "live" in Iowa or do they simply exist?

What is living? Work, eat, game, sleep? I suppose it's what I did in Socal, so not a big difference

Man that really sucks, how many miles were on it before it spun? I'm guessing somewhere below 50k since it's still under warranty...

Just under 25k. Still ran fine just made a clicking tapping noise I attributed to the cams being off position. Dealer said it "slipped" not "spun" so I dunno what happened it's not boosted but I guess shit happens

From everything I have read almost every spun bearing (in a stock engine) has been an early 13. Of the 20 or so on this forum I think 2 were 14s and I don't recall any from there on.
