We have a great 86-orientated group up here. Meet up once a month for get-together/happenings/etc. There are many other variety car meets that happen all the time, but I have no interest in those since I'm far too busy with other stuff.

I've actually seen a lot of no front plates around here. Regardless, I did the perrin tow hook license mount since it's still technically 'illegal'

I think he means, no front plate is technically illegal, not that the tow hook mounts are illegal.

I used the Perrin license plate relocation kit. Very solid. No issues.

I have the perrin kit too but the grimmspeed one gives more adjustability:

I had some Amazon gift cards to burn so I tried some no name brand license plate holder. It's only $25 and the FR-S reviews were all positive.

Thanks for all the feedback.

I got one of the no names but i would be careful because our black bumper part is very easily squished/damaged. I bought a noname one and it scratched it...

Black bumper part? Do you have a BRZ? I was going to run some foam tape around the back while I tried it out on highway speeds. I don't want to scratch it at all.

Keep your Kentucky plates as long as legally possible. As long as you're running them legally you won't be required to mount a front plate.

Once you switch over to Washington plates you will be required to put one on.
