I would use the money to start doing an RB25 swap in my miata and looking for a 2016 miata with a manual

Interestingly, likely would have ended up in a stick shift 2015 Nissan Xterra Pro-4X. Would have been a more "practical" vehicle (minus the atrocious gas mileage), but I just loved the driving dynamics of the BRZ too much.

Probably a 370Z or maybe a 2015+ Mustang, though not sure I could've afforded that...

I had been watching the S2000 market for some time, and by the time I was ready to buy, the prices were getting a little out of hand (2014 prices compared to 2011 prices). I wanted a Suzuka Blue AP2, either a 2004-05, or one of the early drive-by-wire 2006-07 models. I was frustrated that I was going to have to spend around $20K to get a nice 10-year-old S2000 while not getting a great loan amount or rate. Then I remembered that the FRS and BRZ existed, and I had liked the seating position when I checked it out at the San Francisco Internation Auto Show in 2012. I test drove one, and two weeks later, bought it. Got a great deal and financing on my BRZ.

If the BRZ didn't exist I'd probably be looking for:

e46 M3
5th Gen Camaro SS
Integra Type R
Or a regular jack off kind of car to replace my old integra that the BRZ replaced.

I probably would have kept my 06 STI. Right car, wrong time.

When I bought mine (2013) I was looking at Fiat 500 Abarth.
Now, I think I'd be looking at GTI or WRX.
Thank God a light, RWD 2+2 came along.
