Hello FT868Club, Just started my 86club adventure!
Hello everyone. Just bought my FRS in January. certified Preowned with 19k miles on it. Just now starting to mod with the nice weather here in Mass. So far I have put on some rally armor mud flaps, Some black plasti dip on the rims and badges (also removed the frs badge) Red plasti dip on the calipers. I replaced my shift knob because it was rattling and got a IJDM shift knob, Red interior LED, and some stickers for the real windshield. I removed the front license plate and am awaiting my toy hook license plate mount along with my private label muffler delete and Open flash tablet all should be in by next week and I have an appointment with the dealership tomorrow to fix my shifter rattle at 4.5k RPM along with replace my tranny fluid because shifting is notching and some what clunky. Also gonna ask about the "chirping" (been told its the high pressure fuel pump). In the future I plan on doing an Injen air intake, Iebach pro springs, and eventually if I get the money supercharge. As you can tell I plan on doing a lot with this car and will definitely be going to you guys for help in the future. Its this forum that has gotten me this far and given me the direction I want to go so far!

The chirp is in fact the hpfp, and none of the fixes Toyota/Subi have tried last for too long (though ethanol content seems to have an affect on the presence of the crickets)...just a character trait I guess |

Just bought my certified pre-owned Fr-s with 7k miles for 17grand. I am in love, even more in love than when i bought myself a black 2002 camaro in high school. I have loved learning from ya on this site. i just replaced my own trans oil.
3 questions. When is the next 86expo? where is a good place to get fr-s specific parts? i wanna hit up as many car events as i can but dont really know where to find them, so if ya could help me out that'd be appreciated. my cars nickname is 'My Nave' or italian for 'my ship' |

Hi All
Gday from OZ, I've had my Pearl White 2015 Toyota 86 from new for about 9 months.
Been loving the handling and OFT has given it some more get up and go! No major mods so far just tint and OFT. Looking forward to header and E85 soon once I get my head around the OFT. Had a 300ZX TT before and thought the 86 was a good upgrade, love the lines and handling. Jeremy Clarkson can't be wrong! From what I've seen this forum is awesome and a goldmine of ideas and experience. Cheers!

Greetings from Chicago! I very recently moved to Chicago for my first "big boy" job out of grad school and needed a car rather unexpectedly - May as well be a fun car!
"Coco" is my 2016 Halo FRS and I am loving it. Project Mu pads and Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires coming soon!

Hi All,
Vino here reporting in from Malaysia. Got a reconditioned from Japan about a month ago and its a 2013 model - manual. I had only driven it for 1 day, the day i picked it up. Now car is the mechanic shop due to #3 crank bearing damaged. Not sure what caused it and had been reading the issue in this forum for the past few weeks. Obviously worried about the engine especially after i get it but hopefully replacing all the crank bearing and conrod bearing should solve the issue. Happy to meet you guys and hopefully help guide me in future. Thanks. |

East Tennessee Region Solo
I just got the okay to post today been a member a month from East Tennessee. I'm the Event Organizer and Registration Chief for SCCA Solo East Tennessee Region. I'll be 70 years old. No real big mods so far Bridgestone RE71R tires and front and rear Megan strut tower bars. I re-badged it to Toyota GT86 removed anything with Scion on it inside and out. Went from a Gen 5 Camaro to this. I'm already looking for MORE POWER.

Hi There, my name is Dion, I bought my new 2015 GT86 from a Toyota dealer here in Dunedin, NZ.
No mods as yet. I found this forum when I googled GT86 Mods. Happy I found this forum as there is a wealth of information here. Im looking to turn my GT86 into a hobby track car. However want to wait until the warranty runs out before looking at mods. Last edited by GT862015; 07-11-2016 at 12:07 PM. |
