A farmer on the other side of about a 200 acre bush opened his barn door and walked away from his farm. The authorities managed to round up about 60 hogs but they figured 3 or 4 made it into the bush. For about two years there would be the occasional sighting but not a whole lot of contact. Then one year when I was about 8 or 9 we found two young ones in or garden. My dad was overjoyed at the thought of free pork and shot them both and we butchered them and threw them in the freezer. Over the next two weeks or so more and more kept coming out including some massive adult boars. They did not look a thing like the cute little pink things people think of as pigs. They were huge, tusked and mean as hell. I bet between my dad and I we shot 12 or more (I don't remember the exact number) and every neighbour and friend had a freezer full of pork and our smoke house ran 24 hours a day for about two weeks. Eventually the city organized a hunt and went in and wiped them all out. Apparently there were hundreds of them and since they had cleaned out any edibles in the bush they were spreading out. Was pretty nasty for a bit. Oh and they totally are "boars" if they are males. They do not become warthogs which is a different breed.

Domesticated feral pigs and wild boars mate, which further confuses the issue.

We had this conversation about 2 or 3 months ago in the old Random Thread but the "no body no crime" thing was all about YOU! Somebody pointed out that the last anybody had ever heard from you was when I said I would see you tomorrow. It didn't help when I tried to sell ichi grey BRZ parts that had to be picked up in a back alley in Vegas.
