Since the only difference is the bumper and lights you could make it fit no problem. The body panels would all go on exactly the same way but you may have to mess around with the lights and wiring.

Thank you! Am I safe to assume that the 86 version would be less work on these lights? Either way if it isn't impossible ill figure it out.

Not sure. I think the 86s had different lights again. The FRS lights are pretty much the oddballs. Talking pretty minor wiring anyway since the signal/parking lights are all that would need to be rewired. Probably a how to on here someplace already.
