Just turned 57. 5 daughters (ages 17 to 30), 8 grandkids, one more grandkid on the way. 30K miles per year in the FR-S, a little autoX, and generally feeling young every time I drive it. The handling reminds me of the '77 Lancia Scorpion I bought new and learned to autoX in.

My kids call it a midlife-crisis-mobile, and I don't argue. They all know how to drive stick, since that's all I've owned since before any of them were licensed.

49, not too old, except I wish there was assist handle. Prob bonk head/helmet on it though.

Not to sound like a wierdo but can you explain it? I have been just putting my hand on the seat so I'm not like falling into the car but I'm afraid after awhile it might wear on the seat.

well not sure that it will solve your worries, I was kind of joking. But honestly I basically sit my butt down first on the seat then swing my legs in rotating in the seat trying not to scuff the rocker stuff with my feet. Then the opposite coming out kind of dumping myself out over my feet. I normally dont have a problem ploping down too much getting in. Its probably the most exercise I get all day long having a desk job.

Yeah I get out that way, and basically get in that way too using my left hand on the seat to lower myself down. I'm only 33 and I have difficulty with it, LOL.

yeah and when they are lowered is all that more difficult. Its worth it IMHO. Ive got some bad joint issues but would never let it stop me with this car. There is so much more that it gives back. Guys at work that ride with me always mention the 'seat access' issue.

Yeah the low CG was probably one the main selling factors for me.

I have zero issues getting in or out of van though lowered but every single passenger has complained about it. They all also comment about all they can see is other cars door handles.

Yep, mrs humfrz does struggle getting out of our FR-S. Of course, in her defense, she must bail out, when the car is slightly uphill, on a peak in the driveway ....... so I can pull in without high centering the car.

She uses the grunt and lunge maneuver.

However, she doesn't complain because she is so damn relieved to get out of my car ...... after cheating death again .......

Maybe so. But, being a passenger with me driving isn't all that bad if you don't mind my turn signal being on most of the time and watching cars pull out in front of me thinking I'm going to turn.

And I do stop at most stop signs, at least the ones that I recall. Sometimes I do stop at red lights and cars come to a screeching halt behind me.

She used to scream a lot ...... but, she has learned to close her eyes, especially when I'm on mountain roads .... with no guardrails. When I ask her "did you see that .. !? ...... she replies, no, because my eyes were closed..... I'll catch it off of the GoPro when and if we get home.

71. I get in rearend first. To get out, I swing my legs around, put my elbows against the A and B pillars and then push my elbows back away from me.
