i noticed nobody says anything..apparently i was told that i look scary and intimidating most of the time by my friends so people just look at my car and see me and look away

guess it's a good thing because no one bothers me about my car

My uncle told me my FRS looks expensive and fast.
I told him it only cost 25k brand new and its slower than your minivan. He was in shock.

Non-car people seem to think it's expensive, especially compared to the GTI my wife drives. For example, my wife's friend (after seeing our cars parked together in our garage) joked my wife was due for an upgrade. Or my in-laws when they came to visit were incredulous when I told them the GTI was actually more expensive (GTI has tech/moonroof package and DSG with msrp around 29k; FR-S is base model with msrp around 26k). I had to say twice that the FR-S was cheaper and no I wasn't comparing used vs. new prices lol.

Either the low height/FR proportions of the FR-S really throw people off, or people assume since I'm a "car guy" that I must drive the more expensive car.
