Thanks for posting your side of the story. Glad you're Ok, and hope you get back in the FR-S soon. Thankfully you have the Fit to drive for now, so at least there is no rental issues to deal with.

Yeah, I'd sent him an email about a friend that had a new 3-series and was without his car for months...but unlike neutral, didn't have a second car and insurance was trying to make him pay for the extra time on the rental car.

Don't let it affect you too bad though. Everyone makes silly mistakes and we learn and grow from them. When this is all over you will have a newfound appreciation for your car

To be honest, I was hoping to get it for engine development and Turn In Concepts (30 minutes away from him) would be using it for their usual suspension work.
As stated a while ago, I was going to be looking for an early wreck platform to dive into internal parts development and fuel system work (with Deatchwerks)...so when this happened I received about two dozen emails, texts and PM's lol

Yep, the BRZ (my 4th RWD car) is my first vehicle with traction control, and I've driven everything I've owned in snow (including two motorcycles). Hell, I drove my '99 MX5 through the last three winters and it didn't even have ABS. Never had a problem.

Once I've broken in the BRZ and become familiar with it, I'll turn VSC off here and there, but I'll leave it on most of the time. Again, for anyone who doesn't yet know the car thoroughly or have a lot of RWD experience:

Yea, I got a little sucked in. I joined ft86club because of this thread. As a former WRX owner I'm looking forward to seeing how this car develops.
