Not planning on getting rid of the car but it just feels good to look at what you have paid vs what you started with. I've been doing some math and if just increase my monthly payment I should easily have the car paid off in 24-30 months. Look at me being an adult and adulting all over the place

That was a fight for me. I never used it, so I was fine letting it lapse and I wasn't going to renew it. After I told that to five different representatives on five different phone calls, I tore the sixth guy a few new assholes for his company not updating their info. I got no more phone calls after that.

If you want to keep it, call them up, explain you want to cancel. Then they will make you an offer. Tell them no you don't want to renew because you found you only listen to a two or three channels and it isn't worth the money. You'll dance a few additional rounds and eventually they will offer it to you for about $5 a month for 5 or 6 months.

Been doing this XM dance since 2012 with our Suburban and have never paid more than $5 a month for the service.

Arrived at work today for a big day,trying to put my thoughts into perspective. So I was pretty unhappy with the current job because I always have issues with the management, they really limit creativity and are pretty controlling. So I looked for another job, and have an interview for it today. Except, yesterday I got a message from the said current manager that I'm to be interviewed for a promotion to a level above mine. Great, I thought now I have two opportunities, except I know this manager well to know that they are doing this because they are required to interview all applicants. Currently I'm the only one in the company that qualify for promotion, because I've put in enough time and work to do so by standards. To further confirm my thoughts on this, I get another message that, although I will be interviewed it's not a gurantee that I will get the promotion(total BS) and to add icing to the cake, next week I'm being bumped down to work at a level under my current level to wait the verdict.

I know that I need to do well on today's interview to give me a level playing field, but I don't know what else to think in this situation. It could also be advantageous to move up in the current company and put up with it for another year, while I find other things....

Am I the only one that, when going around a corner without hitting my brakes, wonders whether or not the person behind me noticed? Like, are they impressed? Confused? Do they think I'm a reckless idiot? I also wonder if they notice that I'm not behind them when they enter a corner, but by the time they exit it I'm on their bumper because I took it twice as fast as they did.

in my experience driving most people just don't "think" at all.

as sad as it is to admit....I spend a lot of time wondering what other people think of me when I drive....Did he lose control or was he trying to throw the back end around a bit?....narcissism and all that other stuff
