Grassroots Motorsports just tested the VR-1's and came to pretty much the same conclusion. Was roughly 1 second slower on an 80 second course than the RE71R and Rival S tires. So not as fast as the current "cheater" tires but on par with Z2SS and AD08R.

Also did an interesting test with the VR-1's. Mounted 245 width tires on 9" and 10" wheels. 10" wheels had lower times overall, but the data showed fairly significant aero resistance at higher speeds from the wider setup. Just not enough to overcome the additional grip.

Anyone got experience with them on really wet track & comparison to other non cheaters?
