Buahaha!!! If the goal were to hit as many cones as possible, you would win!

Meanwhile, I'm in the predicament of choosing new tires... Have to decide between grippy for auto-x or equivalent playful nature of stock tires.

Anything is an improvement. If you can afford new wheels, get R compound or better yet, AutoX slicks. If you can't afford new wheels get something in the Pilot Super Sport/Sport Comp2 range

That's the plan! The RE-71's is a popular choice but I'm no where near good enough to fully utilize them. I'll see what I really want to do..

so? I'm no pornstar but that doesn't mean I wouldn't take a run at say Christy Mack given the opportunity.

Yeah Steve! Don't be a *****!

I doubt the re71s are any good in the rain since they have so little tread. I've read even the best R compounds can't compete with slicks. So my vote is still for slicks if you have race wheels and can afford them

There are alot of tires out there that split the difference very effectively. I am very happy with my Dunlop Direzza DZ102, I find its a grippier tire than stock, but its not super expensive and still has some of that fun factor that the Primacys had.

I would wager he's thinking more about cost effectiveness as opposed to use. It would be a waste if he bought expensive, grippy tires and then just drove back and forth to work every day, no?

I've been very happy with my Bridgestone Ecopia EP422 Plus Tires. Not only are they decent all-season tires with good "commuting and goofing around" performance but I've actually been getting better mileage with them then the original Primacy tires.

maybe. to each his own. that's why I used the pornstar analogy. I had RE11s on my VR4. I only autoX'd it twice and it's a shitty autoX car. but damn it I didn't have a blast the rest of the time.
