I think we all just want to make sure you realize how expensive going RB really is. $10k at least as someone mentioned. Unless you plan to do a lot of the work yourself and get used/replica stuff. |

I bought a RB kit awhile back. Not the full thing, but fenders and wheels.
Ended up not going with the kit because I took the car for some touge runs and fell in love again. Didn't wanna ruin what the car was made for. If you're into the whole stance and looks things, then by all means go ahead. Just know at this point, HELLA people are rocket bunny (excuse my Bay Area slang). Good luck being unique with your RB car. I just hope you're not doing it to impress others/for IG likes. Everyone with RB these days does it on a budget with either Forgestar F14s or those Cosmis (every freaking person now). Nothing wrong with them, but it's so unoriginal. Even if you end up investing $3k or more on nice Work wheels or something, someone out there is already IG famous for their RB FRS with those wheels lol. Why not invest in a supercharger and have more fun with your car? Just realize you have 2,000$. You can get a rep kit painted with that money. Then you have to spend at least 2,000$ on nice wheels. 900$ for some BC coils so you can go low with meh ride quality. Suspension parts so you're not unevenly destroying your tires probably 700$ Install which would either take a lot of your time or cost at least 1500$. You're well into the 6,000$ range at that point. Throw that along side slight gas mileage drop due to heavy wheels. Cool, you'll get thumbs up from people who don't know cars and some looks at car meets, but you'll grow bored. 6 grand is a lot. You can do way more, make it more fun, and look better without going widebody.

I wide bodied for $650, but you can probably do it for cheaper now because the replica kits are going for like half the price I paid.
Kit: $425 (you can get the replica kit shipped for about $200 now though) Supplies: $45 (just had to get rivet nuts, bolts, and sealer. I had all the other tools etc.) Install: Free (did everything myself, took about a week) Plasti-Dip: $180 (already had a paint gun)

Edit: And if you got a kit for $425, it was a replica.

2K from insurance seems low for that damage / repair to me anyways.
I'd stay away from RB. Maybe do some actual quality wheels? |

My idea with a widebody was i have had over 50 cars throughout my life so far ranging from a 92 subaru loyale i got for 200$ to a 400hp built turbo integra and even a 600hp camaro. this is the newest and nicest car i ever purchased and I plan on keeping it forever.
I know the widebody is not one of a kind but every frs/brz i see around town is lowered on rims. just wanted to be different from them. |

Plasti-dip like the brand or something similar? Man that shit ain't gonna last. Then again I remember the first time I used plastidip. Plastidipped everything. You'll grow out of it or eventually save for a good wrap right??
