My english writing is not good but maybe i could teach you about subjective vs objective review.

i audio reviewing and some other reviewing we could analyse the system in two way.

Are you happy with your 4.88 E85 combo and what tires are you running?
Do you have lighter driveshaft or considering it?

My subjective review is that 4.88 feels much faster than oem for the driver, but difference between cars on street is very small, 4.88 is only slightly faster but that feeling inside car is very different and worth it. So maybe this is what could I expect from CF driveshaft? Before anyone suggest byuing it to test it, CF DSS MT costs $1300 in my country.

Does any of you engineers actually have this on car?

People actually cut down their 0-60 times, people are able to keep up with more powerful cars. Different FD is good NA mod, that really works. Even better on AT. Close gear set (or in addition to FD) might be better on track, but also costs more and is more difficult to install unlike FD.
CF shaft will do very little .. certainly not enough for what it costs. Simply because shaft is small diameter, hence it doesn't store as much rotational energy, be it lighter or heavier. Lighter flywheel and much more so lighter wheels (not just large diameter rotational, but also unsprung mass) will help more then shaft, if going that route.

Thanks, I would like to have 16" TWS wheels, but I didnt find suitable BBK for it. Close gears would solve my extremely short 1st gear, but I could get 4 TWS wheels for the same price with more value.

I use fd4.88 and i am happy with that. I use oem michelline tire 215/45r17
Very minor changes under 5% more acceleration in 0-176km/h but the car react better than fd4.1
I use no aftermarket driveshaft .

No I am not, I am a realist, And their is so much BS in this post I don't even know where to start. Gears making it feel faster but not being faster, Driveshafts creating hp and not creating hp. And its all basic science.. What is not stated here is every mod made has to match and compliment the total package or you will not see the gains that the mods are capable.
Example: Gearing for the 1/4 mile,
Tire size, RPM, weight of vehicle, TQ/Hp, Tranmission gearing, distance covered, all has to be put in the equation to select proper final drive ratio.
Or you get what you have, feels faster but is slower in the 1/4 mile.
Why because you selected the wrong raito, everything you gained you just shit away because now your shifting into 5th gear to make it thru the lights......The gearing could have picked up .5 to 1 second of time but shifting to another gear cost you that time. You can't tune for TQ then gear the hell out of it and expect it to fly you would need high rpm to maintain the gear. 4.88's require power to 8200rpm to get max gain so when you add a set of Crawford power blocks and lose 1000 rpm off the top you totally screwed yourself.

Driveshafts, same thing applies yes you could make gains but if your car is heavy you will lose those gains and hurt performance. Personally I would not waste the money on a driveshaft for my application. I tried one a aluminum DSS drive shaft it was the biggest piece of shit I have ever bought. First they welded the flange on it crooked then after having them attempt to fix it still shook the car so bad it felt like my fillings would rattle out of my teeth. No gains to be made because my car has full interior and its heavy.
Now put it on a gutted light weight car and I'm sure you would find a decent gain.
So in closing you don't need to be a engineer, because this isn't rocket science. Just use good solid common sense and basic math and science and you can easily make power and gains. When in doubt ask someone who knows.
EDIT: One more thing to consider going to a on piece driveshaft is pinion angle. Pinion angle can cause a loss of traction and power transfer not to mention a whole bunch of other problems...

I'm not directing anything at anyone but come on guys cover the basics before you have a knock down drag out.

But why kill it when I could instead kill my entire Thursday at work reading this, since it was bumped back to the top, and laughing to myself at times as I made it through the end from post #1!

I must say, I had to learn the hard way about driveshaft and pinion angles after drastically changing suspension geometry on another car (lowered it 7" lol) and I can associate with certain experiences about putting a load on a 2 peice vs 1 peice ds. I have also learned some new stuff today so thx for the very entertaining read...

Ill tell you one thing. Im not going to buy an aluminum driveshaft now. No, not because of all the 'science' but, because I want to totally forget I wasted the few minutes I did reading this ridiculous thread. You are all wrong and to quote the principal from Billy madison:
Mr. Madison, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
