Good Video.

So, I was watching this (not full screen) and only half paying attention at first until around 0:11 - 0:14 and I start thinking..."why is that black dog running back and forth on the track, and shouldn't someone st....ooooohhh never mind".

Car is down with a P0016. Dealership says it's just the battery.

I'll post it in here so I get the usual people to see it;

http://www.roadandtrack.com/new-cars...lighter-miata/

An even lighter miata? The shit?! Its already really lightweight, before taking into consideration safety standards. They mention R&D trying to find better more cost effective ways of reducing weight other than the expensive carbon fiber. Can anyone think of anything? A sub ton Miata sounds just delightful, assuming it'll keep me in one piece..

No power retractable hard top, no power steering, thinner seat cushions, fix-a-flat instead of a spare tire, no sound deadening or speakers, trim interior metal to only that which is required for bracing, there are all kinds of areas where you could trim weight incrementally.

Here's an example, linked from that article. The Miata MX-5 Cup edition. http://www.roadandtrack.com/new-cars...p-first-drive/

I would rather have a plastic windshield than getting rid of the Miata's suspension.

I mean, I dont need speakers, or the retractable top, or carpet liners, I would take out the spare anyway...
