38 over here. Have four children (but we have two vans in addition to the BRZ). Growing older has made me appreciate vehicles that are more than a collection of statistics on a page (particularly, horsepower).

I hope to keep it for a very long time! My issue is that I am putting way more miles on it than I had thought I would. I keep finding excuses to drive the thing!

Yesterday my wife and I were in her car and I was driving from Windsor to London. Since I do the drive on the 401 twice a week and we were in no hurry we decided to take the Tecumseh highway. This is a really nice curvy road and a blast to drive in my car. Unfortunately I sort of forgot I was driving her Mitsu RVR (Outlander Sport for you US guys) and started taking curves a bit fast. We almost died. Her from a heart attack induced by body roll and squealing tires and me by murder once we stopped.

Since these car act as bait and attract guys for miles that may be a wise choice anyway!

I'll be 39 on June 17.

My husband is 40 and has a 2016 Focus ST. It's called we worked our asses off to get to this point and we're going to enjoy our tech salaries.

You're never too old

My youngest took his driver's license practical test in the FR-S in 2012. It was either that or parallel park our Suburban. He learned to drive in the Suburban and could have done it but why chance it? The other two learned to drive in a Chevy Astro but took their test in a smaller car as well.

Haven't let any of my 3 drive it solo, although they have all driven it with me in it. At this point though, with over 80K miles on it, I'd be OK with letting them drive it.

MomHawk on the other hand still will not let them drive her '05 Mustang, with or without her in the car. She barely would let me drive it.

Dude, I've got shoes that are 35. You're only young once but you have a lifetime to be immature. I turned 61 today.
