Just answered in the other thread you posted in. Recently had a customer ask if I could fit his Blitz(basically the same as the greddy) oil cooler with his JRSC, and it wasn't even a little close to fitting.

The charge piping and intercooler want to occupy the same space as the cooler and shroud. It won't work unless you HEAVILY modify it.

Any tips on fitting my front bumper on? The driver's side keeps popping out feels like it is right on the bumper touching the windshield wiper tank?

Try gently poking the bumper, and see if a charge pipe is touching. If the pipe is touching, then it was incorrectly installed, and needs to be repositioned (pushed ALL the way in, and wedged between the windshield wiper fluid reservoir and front crash beam, with a pad cushioning it from the beam).

If a pipe is NOT touching, then it's highly likely that the bumper was damaged (deformed) during removal; it's very easy to do this, and preserving the bumper alone can make a good professional install pay for itself.

CCV line to Catch can to breather?

Greetings gents,

Does anyone see a reason I can't pull the half-inch line vac going from the CCV to the air intake and route that line to a catch can With the outbound port of the cc going to a small breather filter?

Aside from venting to atmosphere, is there any mechanical reason this wouldn't work? Seems to me this would eliminate no chance of any vapors or aerosolized oil getting drawn back into the intake, no?

That's what I plan on doing as well, except I'm going to do it without a catch can. I'm going to fit a breather filter directly on the 1/2" tubing coming from the CCV. Over time, my MAF has been slowly fouling and causing fuel trims to go negative. It finally threw a rich code one year post Jrsc install. When running my finger inside the intake tubing and throttle body, as suggested by @CSG Mike, there is a thin film of oil. It's my understanding that under vacuum, the CCV will pull air into the crankcase but under boost, air and oil will exit out the CCV. I'm hoping the breather filter over the CCV will fit the bill.

I already have a Mishimoto catch can on the PCV side with a check valve so that the can never sees boost but intake manifold vacuum still pulls vapors from the PCV (while air enters through the CCV breather).

Make sure you either replace the ccv with a barb or remove the ccv and punch out the check valve...

What is the reason behind this? The CCV is a one way valve and not just a barb? I thought "air" flows both ways. Air flows into the CCV (drivers side) during vacuum/low load/cruising while air/oil potentially flows out during boost (hence fouling the MAF and coating the intake pipe/throttle body with oil). Just trying to understand!

Mine did the same thing. Ended up having to install a quick release system on the bumper. My car is DGM so it looks pretty good but they make the kit in many colors and it was a generally easy install just lots of patience.

Sorry, not a mechanic....Could you explain this further? Because I'm thinking I want the PCV valve to continue doing its job. Are you saying the slight vacuum created by the intake restriction is necessary ? Can you say for what?
