Yep, mine are melting also. Too bad, because they look so damned good otherwise. When the holes get big enough, I'll probably open them up and see if I can replace that plastic piece with something that can handle the heat a little better.

My least favorite mod is this piece of shit:



I put that dumbass thing on my car on a whim and drove around for a year looking like a dipshit. Finally took it off when I realized the paint had somehow darkened and no longer matched the car's color. I replaced it with a stubby antenna and immediately saw the improvement.

I ought to sell it, but if I advertise it honestly the description will prevent anyone from buying it.

Thanks @soulreapersteve, @extrashaky, and @1GiantTurtle for the responses! Good to know these things don't hold up. They were on my list of things to buy but I guess I will scratch them off!

Thought about waiting for the 2017 model to come out and just take a set of those taillights, but I'm not sure I like them much more than the current stock ones..

It does look much better the installation took literally two minutes, the hardest part was removing the plastic cover surrounding the start button and USB port. Then you can pull out the button, remove the plug from the back of it, and plug in the TRD one. Click the cover back in place and you're done use one of those plastic prying tools to get the plastic cover off without damaging it.

I think clear side markers and tints are simple "mods" that really approve the appearance of the car...

Sadly I don't have either as I'm trying to keep my DD NJ road legal... Which reminds me I should probably put my front plate back on...

You can put side clear markers on, just swap the stock bulbs with orange ones. Thats what I did.

Really? I did not know that :- P (but in my defense I basically don't know anything about modding cars...). Looks like I have to go buy me a pair now
