You're absolutely right, but it looks like Primacy's here

I wonder if calipers/brackets will be available on the cheap, like those Camaro Brembos that have been popping up

Oh I don't know. Maybe just regionally but when a base FRS can sell for $30K then this is a different realm completely. There is a lot more than just the brakes added to the car and they are not going to just give that stuff away. I do not think $40 will be far off.
Well the current base FRS is $26,490 as of today, per the web site. Even the top-grade series 2 is only $32,800, and the Sport-tech is still under $30k. A $40k BRZ with no power boost would have a very tiny market.

OOOOOHHHHH I could have a US mailing address for deliveries! Hell I bet there are houses where they will give me $3,000 just to take it.

It's right across the water from you, right? You're down there all the time anyways. Leave tools and a jack and whatnot at the house or at your facility and install the car parts before driving back. They can't charge you fees for something that you can claim has been on the car the whole time and they can't disprove.

A friend of mine does that for watches. He sells EXPENSIVE watches. So instead of paying duties and fees and taxes for shipping and importing, the buyer just flies to New York, puts the watch on, and wears it back. It ends up being cheaper.

Yep agreed. The 2016 FRS sell for $29,000-$30,000+taxes in Canada.
The series 2.0 is selling at $34,595

The Brembo version will be atleast $35,000+ easy and i bet it will be very close to what Tcoat is saying. Maybe $39,000.

P.S were taking CDN dollars, not USD.

Perhaps. I still think there is an advantage to this over the previous model. They wouldn't change all those engine components just for the 5hp bump. Something is telling me moto was onto something. There is likely more than meets the eye.

Please let me know where you can get one for these prices. If you can find a base FRS for under $30K you are doing pretty well. The Base BRZs are also over $30K.

We shall see in a few months.

Wow when did they start pricing FRS even higher than a base model BRZ?

Humm the website pricing seems fishy, at the Auto Show the BRZ Sport Tech was listed for $31,600 iirc.
