Its been shown time and time again that people don't care for Miatas anymore. I am not talking about what I consider a big coupe like the FRS. Think Porsche 356 GT Coupe.

New Honda S2000 ~ 70th Birthday?

You can read about it here, but basically they are planning something, so you never know!

Honda needs to bring the old styling back first.

Gotta thank Toyota for pushing everybody back into the compact sports car game. Now just missing Nissan's flying chicken.

It seems like it will be R&D in U.S. and built in U.S. Just like the new NSX. It's not going to be high revving NA engine too.

S2000 without an 8000+ RPM redline is just weird.

Article has no sources, probably just copying the unfounded rumor that was published yesterday that also had no sources.

Wasn't there another rumor with a Baby NSX not too long ago? Seems like a lot of rumors from "unnamed sources" is just that rumors. I'll wait until there is named sources before I take it for reality. On another note, it would be pretty cool for more options when my BRZ lease is up.

Oh goody. Another thread based on a rumor about a new vehicle coming out, even though the manufacture already stated that they weren't going to produce the vehicle.

And of course it comes from some site where the source in the article is "unnamed" and "from the inside".

Hopefully this thread dies. Fast.

If Honda makes another sports car it will by hybrid, heavy, and ugly. If you want an s2000, just buy an s2000; I really doubt Honda will ever go back to making cars like that.

Emissions and fuel economy regulations pretty much put the kibosh on that sort of thing...
