I am friends with the owner of ctsvbrakeswap.com. He has offered up a sponsership for me to run them. I run in the HPDE+ Class for GRIDlife Time Attack. My previous track record was 1:46.5xx on Pump gas with a tune, RS-3's and Stance USA Coilovers.

I will be running this kit with EBC Yellow pads (same pads i had in oem calipers) I have Stainless brake lines and Stoptech fluid.

We are hoping for positive results. These are momentum cars on the track. I am a veeerrrrrry late braker, and I will not be holding back during testing.

THIS KIT WILL GET A WORKOUT.

Stay tuned.
Awesome I will be testing it on track at thunderhill on the 19th. Also using ebc yellow actually. I had them overheat on the stock calipers and start to disintegrate and had to use xp10s I am hoping I can go back to using them now though because swapping pads for the track is a pain and I look forward to not having it do it anymore.

Also, I was putting my pads on tonight and as promised before I measured from the center of the hub to the edge of the caliper. For those trying to determine if they will fit your wheels. It measures roughly 6 3/4 inches, maybe a little less (This isn't too precise because I am just feeling for the center of the hub).

Here is a closeup showing the gap on my 18" tsws (with normal pads, not the odd Camaro ss pads with their weights).

Thanks everyone for the info. I'm ready to pull the trigger if my stock wheels will clear the calipers. I have 20mm spacers on the front also. So my question is, is the problem (if any) with clearing the inside rounded part of the stock wheels or the inside face of the wheel. My 20mm spacers might save me if the issue is clearing the inside face. I have been following this thread

http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2773522&page=9

and people have been showing successful fitting with SOME 17" aftermarket rims. Those who don't fit, the problem is usually not clearing the inside face of the wheel. But like I said, I have 20mm spacers so this may not be an issue. What are people's thoughts?

I'm thinking, if my stock rims can fit over 6pot wilwoods, then this kit surely can work:

Can someone please check if this kit will clear stock rims. My finger is shaking over the buy button, I can't hold out much longer.

I just bought them and I'm on stock wheels. If they don't fit, *sigh* time for new wheels. I don't see the issue either way....

Hey man it was nice to meet you at gingerman the other day (white Brz). I know we chatted a bit early in the day. However, how did the breaks perform now that you have had the time to think about it?

I know right! If I did, this whole project goes from $800 to about $2,500 if I get the wheels I want. On the other side, I can just cut the difference and get a BBK from Wileood or Brembo that fits stock wheels for about $1,200.

Thats why its so important to know if this kit clears stock wheels. If you have to upgrade wheels to do it, might as well get an official BBK.

Then again, is saving $300-$400 really worth jerry rigging this up in the end....

Have you considered one of the Willwood BBKs from RR Racing for $800 - $980? They seem to give solid support and have done a decent amount of R&D.

That will be perfect for the rear. From a visual standpoint, they look a little small for the front imo.

The way I see it, the RR Racing Sport Performance kit is the same price as the kit initially posted in this thread and is better mostly because there is no jerry rigging required (Drilling and tapping). Thank you for showing me this. I might do the 6pot Stage 1 kit for about $200 more because racecar.

So, to close out my 2 cents on this.... I just purchased the RR-Racing Stage 1 kit with BP20 pads. $1050.05 total, $47 shipping. I figure I plan on never upgrading my calipers again and the $179 to get 6pot over 4pot is insurance to make sure I'm satisfied now and in the future when I go FI. I still recommend the performance kit over the cadillac conversion.

I'm waiting on my brackets to show up myself... I'm on 17x9 +42 Rota RT5 and supposedly i need a 3mm spacer to clear an STi caliper. I'm hoping the contoured bottom edge of the caliper makes that a non issue. i dont want to have to get effin extended studs if i dont have to.

3mm isn't enough to warrant extended studs.
