It is not recommended due to less than 3mm of clearance. We recommend using a small spacer for optimal clearance. Thanks!

You can see the amount of tyre roll I'm getting here, nowhere near the sidewall and these re002's are known to have a soft wall. Having 225's on the 7" rim has the tyre sitting more taught and creating more sidewall strength IMO. A definite rounded (balloon) profile though, which has tyre movement characteristics that take some getting used to. Still mass amounts of over steer (I run 38 psi). I previously had the same tyre on the stock 16" rim but in a 205/55 and that would roll on to the sidewall when pushed hard. I recently put in a rear strut tower with great results, it honestly feels like I have wider tyres at the back (more grip in corners) highly recommended

Sorry to be critical and off topic, but highly sceptical there. Your suspension sits on a subframe that creates the link left-right with bushings to the body. The top of your suspension struts, if there is any flex, will do so mostly upwards as the do not transfer any sideloads to speak of, hinged as the are on the lower arms. But I haven't tried a rear tower strut so I could be mistaken

That's what a strut tower works on, upward force from the the suspension. It try's to minimize this by linking the two strut heads. I was skeptical too because of the rear wishbone suspension, don't get me wrong it doesn't feel like I have 255's up back. I tend to get more of a grab/dig in mid slide, just gives me a little more confidence when pushing. I have a strut up front too and that's a must due to the macpherson setup, all of this means little to those who swapped out the oem suspension. So the real reason I got a rear strut was to maybe cancel out some of the squeaks n creaks and it may have done that a little.

Hi all,

I wasn't sure if we should consider a starting a new thread for 16 inch wheel brake upgrades or big brake kits for track, street, autocross etc that will fit 16 inch only? ! It could include weight loss, cost etc.

Thanks!!

I've looked all over this post - and maybe I'm not looking in the right place, but is there a wheel someone is using that is 7" x 16" with the positive offset listed, WITH the brand of the wheel?

thx

If you run 16" diameter wheels, on a 7 (or 8) inch width, can you post the exact sizes with positive offsets, WITH the tire size AND the exact brand? Pictures are great, but I can't read the offsets or the tire sizes.

Based on http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7535

16 x 7 will need a 25 offset for flush not lowered and 24 for flush and lowered an inch.

Some GC Subaru goldies on my 2015 BRZ. Currently running 25mm spacers because I'm only running 205/50R16 rubber.

that is probably going to be very wheel dependent. None of the usual so called big break options would fit, so you'd probably have to make your own kit. I doubt there is any need for its own thread.

I wouldn't be so sure that no BBK will fit. Imho there should be several 16" that can work with something like eg. Sprint kit.

Hi all,
Got a cg8 sti wheel 16x7 +53 offset, With 225/50/16 tyres. When I put them on it gets too close to the shock/spring. Do you guys think 3mm spacer should be enough to clear it?

Done a fair bit of searching on the threads, but haven't found much info.

Is, or has, anyone run a 16x6 wheel on their car? I'm looking at picking up a set of wheels from a 2001 Pontiac Sunfire GT, for a funky new winter setup, but was curious to see if anyone had test fitted anything around this size yet. It's tough to find concise data on them, but from what I've gathered it sounds like the offset is +47.

I've run 16x6.5 for winter before, and am guessing it would be fine, but wanted to find out if anyone had test fit similar wheels already.
