That's it? I had pictures of huge clouds of smoke following you down the road. Mine has looked like that since day one. I think it is just the really rich startup mix that the stock tune uses and isn't oil at all. If it goes right away after the car has warmed up and it isn't happening when you drive or sit and idle I wouldn't sweat it.

Yeah, that's likely just water vapor and the rich startup mix.

After reading this thread, I feel I have seen enough to render my opinion:

Totalled.

Also, good choice of taillights.

Looks normal, Like I said it's a rich start up mix and if it's chilly enough it's condensation built up inside.

I reckon, compared to your car, mine is about to blow up and/or needs a ring job .......

Water vapor! Perfectly normal for any car on a cold start.

I am not going to worry about it for now, I am not convinced that the cold start on Monday is water vapor, due to the fact it was 80° and no humidity. The smoke was blue and black, not whitish in humfrz video. The smoke also lingered and moved with the wind and did not dissipate whatsoever, but for now, I won't worry. Next time my car sits longer and it's hot and sunny outside I'll take a better video. I am convinced that there is an issue.

Well, if you're not convinced your car is "normal" and just burning rich on startup, yes, by all means take and post another video.

Might I suggest you also take a video of a warm startup for comparison purposes.

It would seem to me, that if a car is "burning" oil (getting past the rings or blow-by from the crankcase), that it would be more noticeable coming out of a warm engine........

That didn't look all that bad to me. what did the smoke smell like and do you have any wet oily residue on the inside of the exhaust tips? Is it a dry black sooty residue?
