I installed SPC's LCAs before Calabogie last weekend. They worked well and easy to set up/install. The Whiteline one's I've seen online are either 'white labelled' SPC units or near identical copies (and i don't think they include a toe adjustment cam/bushing).

The OEM toe arm has an adjustment on it. It is separate from the rear LCA assembly.

True that... I didn't use the SPC ones when I installed the LCAs. I assume you'd only need them if you've dropped the car a lot further than I ever will...

I installed a set of TEIN MonoSports a few weeks ago. Since I was doing the LCA (SPL for me) I figured I might as well do the rest of it (toe arm and traction arm) so that I'd have all the adjustability I'd ever need.
The absolute hardest part of the install was getting the toe arm off. The bolt that connects the toe arm to the wheel is extra long and was rusted to hell after three winters. Even after an overnight soaking in penetrating oil AND scrubbing the threads I had to use the three foot breaker bar to get the thing to move at all. Every turn, or should I say 1/8 turn since the stupid thing is in the wheel well so there's not a lot of room, was a full on effort. |

I'll respond for Andre
Hey that's my car when it came in almost 4 years ago. Thanks for posting Mike. also wanted to ask why your summer rims aren't on the car yet. Please tell me you are not handing the car back to dealer.

NOO, I'm never giving this car away! Hope to put summer rimes on this weekend. When the wheels are off I will be applying Chemical Guys Bare Bones. Cleans and protects the wheel wells. See you on the road someday!! |
