Do you change your tire size from OEM? That could be one reason.

We more "senior members," though we may still have 20/20 acuity, sometimes need our cars to help us out a little more, and bright yellow true fog lights help a great deal. The science may be a little tedious for this post, but essentially our eyes are most sensitive to the yellow band of the spectrum, as it is the color of our sun. Fog droplets act like little floating prisms which split white light into its various colors and scatter them in front of us. The intense yellow foglights, aided by projector lenses which focus the main yellow rays while filtering out the scattered other colors, give us a better and deeper view of what's out there in the fog. The cars come equipped with some pretty pitiful things they call "foglights", but if they're not equipping their cars with "real" foglights as I've described, I can understand why they would regard them as "useless and redundant."

Adding tint to the fogs increases visibility imo. I have yellows. Driving in mtn areas in bay area is quite helpful. I am able to see just a tad better than without them. Visibility increased about 30% imo in fog. Have not run into wild life like one of the members above, but have avoided hitting parked cars and big branches.
The stock fogs are nice, but wish they were yellow-ish. IMO stuff I think is useless or mostly useless in our cars is that of the fake cf in the interior. Wont stay clean. Also, the door handles inside. Scratch so easily! Like wth!

I think its one of the best features of the car as I generally drive with my windows closed and climate air con on. The sound generator allows me to putter round and hear an awesome sound track while in 50 and 60kph zones and not have to rev the car out much.
Its a much better approach to improving the emersion of driving then using a synthetic sound pumped through speakers like BMW's. Besides doesn't Porsche use a similar diaphragm and ducting system? I think its a good combo with the stock exhaust. Later I'll be doing headers and leave the rest of the exhaust stock. This will make it all sound a touch louder, not gather much attention from those around me (especially cops) and let me have some kicks when driving at legal speeds. Its a classic win win scenario imo.

I do agree that it is a far better solution than BMW's audio playback thing. I think a few other manufacturers are guilty of this as well. |

I usually drive on dipped in built-up areas where we have Street lamps and full beam out in the countryside but only if I am not following or there are no oncoming vehicles. My fogs only come on in bad/low visibility ie foggy conditions. |

Do owners not realize that the small pocket next to the push start button on limited BRZ's is a standard JDM coin drawer/pocket. Granted I currently put my mini altoids in it at the moment it is very common to have a tiny pocket made specifically for holding change in japanese cars. The JDM coin pocket for 4th gen Preludes is actually a rare piece believe it or not.
