That's probably when the York Dealerships other unspoken for Premium BRZ is supposed to be in. They said something about a July ETA for that one. They're getting an unspoken for Premium in this week, while the other 2 pre-orders(Me and someone else) are stuck waiting. Definitely passing on the Premium models though. The Limited interior is so much nicer than the Premiums. They had a Pre-pro DGM Auto Premium in 2 weeks ago for promo purposes. Wasn't nearly as nice as the Limited.

I had one pre-order that I placed about a month ago, they had no ETA other than "Wait list and should be delivered by November"

A forum member posted saying that a dealer had an un-claimed white BRZ that fit my order, so I placed my deposit on that one and got my first deposit back. The ETA for this new car is 7/10 - I got the VIN and called SoA and were able to confirm that the VIN had been recorded as mine and the ETA was accurate.

Honestly at this point I would recommend any of you without ETA's or ETAs that are far away, consider looking for a dealer that has a car with a confirmed ETA+VIN and place a deposit on it. Your first deposit should be refundable so just get the money back for whichever car doesnt show up first.

Sure, this is going to cause alot of confusion for subaru if they start getting a ton of canceled/switched pre-orders but it's not like they are filling them in order anyway.

Agreed. THey should expect it considering their messed up ordering process.

After reading some of these updates I'm wondering something...when did you all get on your list?

I am looking at getting one around March to June of 2013 and am still unsure when to actually get on any list. One of the dealers (not the one I am getting mine from) told me their next date to expect more cars is Jan.

I can understand the delay, as this car is in heavy global demand at the moment I'm sure

It's a crap-shoot. Apparently you need to use a Ouija board to figure out what color they're making next. Then you have to go to a mystical shaman and see how many of a certain transmission will be in that batch. Finally, use a magic 8-ball to figure out how many options will be put on the car and you'll have it sooner than people who've pre-order in March and April of this year. The choice is yours and yours alone......good luck.



This is the first company I've ever seen that will fore-go chronological orders and just pick from a hat whose car will be built next.

I found out something interesting yesterday. I am 1 of 1 at my dealership, and I have yet to receive delivery. I call the dealer every week and I get the same response....that I am still wait listed. Well what is interesting is the dealer found out that they had a different car coming that they did not order, and that my pre order wouldn't come in till December! Their only allocation for the year was used up by whatever random car that was sent out. So apparently the dealer called and got it sorted out and they will deliver the car in July. So that makes me think that this has happened to others. I think the dealer probably ordered then changed it mid stream, and instead of a change to their original order they got both vehicles were the change was put December or later.

Yeah I'm prob just gonna go to a different dealer. There's a BRZ sitting 100 miles away with the exact trim/color I want after some e-mails and calls on cars.com

Well I'm going to see about placing an order at 2 other dealers. If they have an ETA before the one at Apple Subaru.....too bad Apple Subaru.

Yea for a long time I've been down on people that made pre-orders at one dealership and then jumped ship(no pun intended) and buy one from a different dealership. I'm starting to come around on this idea. I pre order 3/16 and nobody can tell me anything, its f'ing rediculous. If Subaru handled this correctly I would be fine with waiting, but they didnt so I'm willing to screw over my dealer. Starting to get on the hunt for a WRB Limited 6MT. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

There was a WRB Limited 6MT at Atlantic Subaru in Bourne, MA (Cape Cod) when I was there on Friday. They had three, the Galaxy Blue Silica and Black ones were sold.

Interesting... any word on MSRP? Just got off the phone with a guy at Jones Junction Subaru in MD and he wanted MSRP + $5K !!! and the car had 30 miles on it. HA.
