Anyone using an aftermarket airbox with their v3 SC? I've only seen a pic of an Arc brand airbox. A link or a pic to the airbox installed would be greatly appreciated!

Finished my HKS GT supercharger v3 install today! I just have to tie up some loose ends, then fill my fluids, flash my ECU with the editor, and crank her up!

Probably won't crank her up until Friday or Saturday though... I have to go back over my install to make sure I didn't miss anything. Crossing my fingers all is good!

Does anyone have experience with having HKS branded bypass valves apart or even bypass valves in general? If so, your input would be appreciated. thanks in advance.

Did you ever get this answered? I don't have an answer, but I've been following your posts and I was curious what the end result was.

It's alive!!!

Installation manual stated there could be some noises emanating from the supercharger until the traction fluid warmed up (2-3mins)... ecstatic to say there were no weird noises on startup at all! The traction cooler operated as normal. No coolant leaks or fuel smells as far as I could tell. The only thing that was off but expected was the smell coming out of the exhaust system... that smell can be attributed to the new exhaust manifold and front pipe. It wasn't even that bad though.

The only issue I had was getting the Flash editor to communicate with the ECU when reading and flashing the tune...it communicated on the second attempt when reading and the fourth attempt when flashing. The pins inside the connectors were recessed and one was pushed a lot further up than the others. I had to reseat them for the flash editor to power on and communicate.

I'm going to wait until late next week or the weekend to take her out on the road... I should have my aero kit back from the painter by then... I need to have that installed before I go for a test ride.

Barring any unforseen issues, I am very relieved to have this install complete!

Just wanted to note for those that are curious , that we recently upgraded a customers car at our shop and included was a v3 supercharger kit, his upgrades were : v3 kit, gruppe-s UEL header and OP, Greddy evo GT exhaust, custom mid-pipe (we made it) and we also modified the HKS inlet tube so it would fit up to an injen intake, we also put in a competition stg 3 Kevlar clutch kit, and changed all oils to redline oils. The car was tuned with OFT on a DynoDynamics Loading Dyno the end result was 241.7 whp with a 12.5 AFR in boost. The impressions of the kit are very positive and the car drives amazing and is super streetable. The supercharger really wakes this car up!!!

So if anyone in Oklahoma Needs boost or a tune.........

I test fit my bumper cover today to see if I would need to modify it at all... the answer is yes.

I have to shave the bumper a bit on the oil cooler side and on the bottom of the deck that intercooler and oil cooler sit on. The intercooler and oil cooler push down on the deck so I'll have to shave some off the bottom so that the bumper cover could wrap around it.

I have a feeling that I'll have issues with bumper fitment near the headlights so I've ordered 2 Quick-Latches... so I'll be installing those real soon.

Please advise on his HKS kit!

Am looking to get a supercharger for my 2013 FRS. Came across this kit with pre programed software.

http://www.kijiji.ca/v-engines-and-e...ationFlag=true

Was wondering if a stock car needs anything other than that kit to run safely?
Does anyone have any idea how well the out of the box Tune will work?

I need my car for daily use. I only want about 50-70hp and more torque. I don't plan to track the car (well maybe a bit but not beat on it) but do want it to pull from time to time.

Any advice would be welcome!

Link doesn't work, but I have been running the V3 HKS since around November as a daily with not a single issue. I drove over 1,000 miles in two days when I moved to Florida and it has no struggles in this heat either. I'm so happy with the purchase. Very reliable in my opinion.

Zeal, I am so impressed with your polished Hks system, Just spoke with Torry ,I will probably have my unit for my 2015 hopefully by the end of July. Can you give me your technique at stages of polishing. I would like to mirror your setup. As it is probably one of the best looking I have ever seen, and being a retired Air Force Msgt. I worked F_15,s for 10 yrs and C-130,s for 14 yrs. I am used to perfection around the aircraft and for me yours is right there. look forward to taking my time and trying to get to your level. Best Regards Steve
