yeah my local scion dealers have or had (could be sold by now) a couple unclaimed cars on their lot! and my local subaru dealer just got only two..

We will see. I didn't put a ton of faith in the estimate they gave me based on what I have been reading on this stie for the last few weeks. Hopefully I get it sooner rather than later but I have just been looking at it as the longer it takes the more money down I can do. I'm trying to be optimistic here haha.

Unless you want to pay a higher premium for the car, then batch production is something you have to deal with. This car is a very hyped, relatively low production car and Toyota is getting the lion's share of production since they put up most of the funds. I agree that it would be nice if these cars were easily available, but I don't think it is surprising that they aren't. I mean, this car was just released what do you expect?

I pre-ordered mine in the beginning of April. Just got an email today from SOA saying the car should arrive by the second week in July. I was able to pick up a hot lava FR-S w/ MT (color I really wanted) 2 weeks ago so this car will be up for grabs. It's a WR blue premium w/ MT. Located in Richmond VA.

I got mine before the two people that had pre-orders got theirs. Subaru is doing some weird random allocation stuff. If it's not yours or someone else's VIN I don't think they can just go "oh here have this one instead". Unless you purchase that one first before someone else gets it.

No, I'm Apple Acura Subaru in York, PA. Someone pre-ordered the car I'm getting, but canceled their deposit/pre-order. The dealer said mine was #2 and the other pre-order is #1. They're getting 2 cars that weren't claimed when I went in before the 2 pre-orders.

What combination did you have pre-ordered? Any ETA on when that should come in? I'm 6 of 12 at Lancaster County Motors and still no VIN, thinking about jumping on this unclaimed car bandwagon.

Lightning Red Limited with 6MT and Popular Package 1b. SoA said it's going to be October, which is rediculous considering the early May order. I'm hoping they have no clue and it'll be here in August. They said that Subaru makes Foresters and Imprezas in addition to the BRZ on the line, which is why it's taking so long.

Just talked with the dealer and I was #1 of 3 here in Charleston, SC and still have no ETA or VIN ordered 77 days ago and after talking to him and the regional rep well no info and they really couldn't comment on the proper order status of the car. ie in the first allocation you should get one car per dealer thing we were hoping for cause looks like this is the second month and my dealer still has not received a car. I was told that they could keep placing orders and subaru would fill them as soon as they could. not sure when that is though. the 3 they have on order are mine a SWP and 2 DMG's i think all are MT and limited.

Definitely think this is poor form for Subaru. If I can talk them down at all, I'm going to jump on the 370Z at a nearby Nissan dealership. While I would've loved to acquire a BRZ the wait coupled with Subaru's ordering process has driven me to look for a more timely option. Depending on circumstances, there may be a Limited BRZ available in York sometime in October.
