Yeah, I broke my OE one too when I took it off. whatever, took it off for a reason, the new one seems better quality than the oem one.

Cheers!

Word to the wise...the plastic is very brittle and will break if you attempt to remove the assembly (unless it's brand spankin' new and you don't live in a salt bath, heat from the muffler is probably not helping matters either!). Subaru decided it was best to use bolts and clip on nuts on the thin brittle plastic to secure the top side of the light assembly where plastic push pins would have worked perfectly, just like on the sides of the assembly. I even pulled my muffler down to have good access and sprayed it down with PB Blaster.

I think I will be ordering the smoked Valenti assembly on Monday.

Finally got around to installing a Perrin 2.5" resonated catback on my wife's BRZ. She refuses to drive it tomorrow since it's going to rain and she doesn't want to get her car dirty.

First Nürburgring laps of the year, boy did I miss it!
Included, some drone footage of the track at dawn.

I searched for a self wash and boy was I happy when I found one. Can't get this quality from auto washes, also removed the dam "SUBARU" lettering from the trunk as well.

Its held on by I believe 6 bolts if I remember right. Also has a plethora of snap connectors holding it on

I did 3 good coats of regular black, wait for that to dry then do 3 thinner coats of copper metalizer plastidip. The copper metalizer is semitransparent so it allows a little of the base coat color through, giving an overall richer darker copper/bronze. Otherwise if you just do copper metalizer on regular gray/gunmetal wheels I suspect it would be too orange and too light. I didn't clear coat.

Hope that helps.

After a nightmare diagnosing and repairing what turned out to be a direct injector seal popping, she is back and running. Going to give it another tank of gas and keep an eye on fuel trims, with all new DI injectors she is running a tad lean under load.
