It's got to much "scion" in it.

They had a lot of potential too

To much Scion? All the 86s around the world out number the Scion by a good margin.

I just meant in terms of styling.

Can't see it. I see more Veloster and CR-Z than Scion, and even then the only thing "Scion" about my FR-S are the badges and headunit themselves.

Scion didn't have a single word in the styling of the 86. It is pure Toyota.

Actually, all they need to do is to give it a hatchback a la the RSX or Celica.

Basically back to the early 80's Celica formula where there were both coupe and hatchback variants. Then on top of that make a cabriolet variant and a racing version for the safari rally too.

Toyota really miss their glory days.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing,as a former owner of a 93 Ford Probe GT (what a piece of shit. 2.5 litre that only produced 164 hp?! And you know after the 175k mile I had on it,it was significantly less power than that!).

I always felt that sloping rear windows like on the 86,the Probe,Zs,Supras, should all open like the aforementioned Celica and RSX hatches. Plus,I would love a rear window wiper.

The Twins have decent cargo volume - the problem is accessing it.
My old Celica could ingest huge volumes of cargo easily because of the hatch and split folding seats.
The BRZ can take a lot too, but only in small chunks due to the tiny trunk opening, and the obstruction from the glass and rear structure.

I would gladly sacrifice a bit of that rigidity for the enhanced practicality.
