It was too much trouble to modify the polished plug I installed in the resonator hole a while back... just sticking to the instructions and using the supplied rubber plug on this one...

I should have the modified air box installed this afternoon... then I have some really minor things to do before I go back over my install.

Well... I effed up the HKS supplied stopper for the resonator opening... I measured my cuts from the outside and not the inside... So now I have to find a replacement tomorrow...

I started this detail today... I am in the process of creating a packing to replace the flimsy factory one. I have to make some adjustments but here is where I am at with it...

I hope to make the adjustments and have this completed tomorrow.

Here is a pic of my custom foam packing... it turned out well...

On another note... the HKS air intake duct I received today does not fit...the intercooler outlet pipe gets in the way... I do not want to modify it so I'm going to just modify the OEM air intake duct and be done with it.

Bummed that neither the Beatrush nor the HKS air intake ducts fit without modifications. :-(

Instructions made it seem as if I had the HKS part that it would be plug-and-play...smh

I'm still tinkering with the fitment of the OEM airbox...I hope to square everything away soon.

Edit:

Airbox fitment issue was a mistake on my part... to the naked eye, the remaining silicone sleeves looked identical in size... anyway, I had them mixed up...all good now!

Finally complete! Well, not quite... but real damn close. I just have to tie up some loose ends...loose ends that are indirectly related to the SC install and go back over my install to make sure I did not miss anything.

All I have left with the actual SC install is fluids, flash the ECU, and cranking her up!

Tada...

It's alive!!!

Installation manual stated there could be some noises emanating from the supercharger until the traction fluid warmed up (2-3mins)... ecstatic to say there were no weird noises on startup at all! The traction cooler operated as normal. No coolant leaks or fuel smells as far as I could tell. The only thing that was off but expected was the smell coming out of the exhaust system... that smell can be attributed to the new exhaust manifold and front pipe. It wasn't even that bad though.

I'm going ro wait until late next week or the weekend to take her out on the road... I should have my aero kit back from the painter by then... I need to have that installed before I go for a test ride.

Barring any unforseen issues, I am very relieved to have this install complete!

I test fit my bumper cover today to see if I would need to modify it at all... the answer is yes.

I have to shave the bumper a bit on the oil cooler side and on the bottom of the deck that intercooler and oil cooler sit on. The intercooler and oil cooler push down on the deck so I'll have to shave some off the bottom so that the bumper cover could wrap around it.

I have a feeling that I'll have issues with bumper fitment near the headlights so I've ordered 2 Quick-Latches... so I'll be installing those real soon.
