for that much work Id just spend the money on Radiums. But I dont like to DIY stuff, especially if it's never been done before so you have no idea how/if it would work out

I am also for spending a little more for proven fitting and not having to change anything for it to work correctly.

Think of the benefits. Hooning in the rain prevents some tire wear. There are also negatives like easier to lose control but we should just disregard those.
