It's a cruel world. WOW. Kvyat had a podium two races ago, and then had a howler of a race at his home grand prix. Helmut Marko using it as an excuse to get Verstappen in the car as soon as possible. I hope Kvyat goes somewhere else after this season and completely shits on Red Bull in the future. I like Max, and hope he does well, but I hate Red Bull's politics.

Well we lost Crashtor Maldonado so it was only so long before somebody else was knocking out somebody.
Just happens to be up in the top end of the field where it isn't acceptable and at a team where drivers don't have to pay for their seats. At least they had a team to demote him to if they really think he is worth saving. Any other team would have just kicked him to the curb. |

This was going to happen eventually anyway. In a way I'm more surprised that they kept Kvyat at all. They must have not have had anyone else they thought was better at the moment, or perhaps they can't easily fire him due to contract issues.
Anyway, it's going to be fun to watch STR now; you've got two drivers who are going to drive every race like it is is their last, because it just might be... |

yea it puts all red bull drivers on notice now not just the torro rosso boys riccardo's seat isnt safe either Marko really is an emotions based decision maker.
they kept Kvyat in red bull because they didn't want to promote verstappen before he was ready for it, they promoted kvyat after a year in torro rosso and he wasn't ready. lol they didn't want to repeat that mistake but their hand was forced

Kvyat will continue being Kvyat and knocking out other drivers. Just this time he'll be knocking out drivers in the lower class.

Very mixed feeling about the race. Cool to see Max win and happy Mercedes went out to close up the standings even a little.
Sucks to see Haas not do to well though. And will Ferrari ever have the car at a position where they can close out that last .6 seconds on the car ahead? Their mechanical grip just inst there it seems. |

After seeing the race, I've come to the conclusion that Ferrari can't catch a break. In the best possible outcome to seal a win with a 1-2 podium they lose the opportunity to Redbull.
I don't think the Ferrari's are there yet- but the pressure certainly is. They need to re-group and re-strategize because this simply isn't their year (although I'm hoping to be proven wrong). |

Shoutout to Nico & Lewis taking each other out to give us a cracker of a race. With Max winning the race, seems that prick Marko was vindicated in his decision. Big congratulations for Max Verstappen, he's a special talent.

Wild one, huh?
As a LH fan it sucks to see them take each other out. Stewards determined it was a racing incident so no penalties awarded. As a young talent fan it was AWESOME to see Max take the win in such a dominant fashion.
