Slightly old bump but... I just noticed that Gen 2 front bumper resembles one of the after market front bumpers we have now. the Fujimura kit.

No it will be the same everywhere. Just the rebadge applies here. The rest of the world will continue to call it what they always have and will still have all the different packages that we were never offered.

And the front. Oh god that front. Looks like a BRZ got too close to a fire and sagged a bit.
Will reserve opinion on wheels until I see the real thing.

Do not like and probably would not buy.

I agree with the lights, that's why I love the TOM's lights or Intec tails, simple and not too busy. The rear bumper overall shape doesn't flow but the rear angles go down and out with the inner angle of the tails but to subtle for many to notice and therefore doesn't seem to flow, and the front bumper seems to be looking to mainstream, for example, the old style fog locations could be converted to brake ducts but now with the new bumper, eh, it takes styling cues from the 2017 Corolla (basically going with the overall Toyota general lineup theme).

So, both the toyota 86 and Ted Cruz look like fish monsters? Perhaps there could be an Evangelical release series for the new 86? 2018 Toyota 86 Messiah edition!

I think that my personal dislike of the front is the fact that there are so many conflicting angles that do not follow the smooth flowing and minimalist approach of the rest of the body panels. If they had adjusted the front fenders to accept those angles I probably would not mind it so much. As it is it just looks like a separate design slapped on the front of the car with zero consideration given to the whole (which of course is exactly what it is).
