Finally got the kit on yesterday:

It fits behind my street wheels but the clearance is maybe 1mm which is too close for comfort:

So I'm running my track wheels with the kit for now until I can get a small spacer for my street wheels.

I ended up using the BP10 pads. My EBC Yellowstuff pads in pad shape 7420 wouldn't fit in the caliper, the backing plate was just like 1mm too long to make it sit in there. It's very close so with a bit more time and persuasion, I think I could make them fit but it was about 3am at this point and I still needed to bleed the calipers so rather than continue to play with it, I just tossed the BP10s in which fit without any trouble. I will say that they were extremely snug and I could not get them to fit with the shims on. That said, the pads haven't been making any noise so I don't think they are really required.

Regarding braking itself, it feels good but is a touch spongy. I suspect this is due to the poor 1 man bleeding job I did. Modulation is extremely good but I find ultimate bite a little lacking, at least I wasn't able to overwhelm my 245/40r17 BFG Rivals with full brake pressure on BP10 fronts and EBC Yellowstuff rear.

I did bed in the pads after swapping them and I gotta say, although I was not overwhelmed by the bite, I could not get them to fade at all after 10 hard 140-30 consecutive braking events.

I do want to take a moment to note that the directions provided with the kit aren't very good. I'm sure they are fine for people who are experienced on working on cars but for people like me who have only ever done pad changes and fluid bleeds, I found them inadequate and I ended up referencing Essex' directions for their Sprint kit for the areas I was having trouble with. In particular, I had a lot of trouble figuring out that I had to remove the retaining clip that connects the rotor brake line to the hard line and getting the OEM rotor off. Essex' directions outlined what needed to be done with these but yours did not. Also, theirs included pictures and yours was just some text. I did get the kit on but it would have been nice to have more detailed directions.

Anyways, so far I'm happy with it. I'll be keeping an eye on it over the next week or two to ensure everything is good but that should be it. Also, I've got autocross and track events tomorrow so I will report on how the kit was in those situations.

Got mine installed too. The bp10 pads are definitely a super tight fit...right on the border of making you consider if it really just a tiny bit too thick. Brake feels pretty good but nothing amazing (I just got the sport perf kit on front) but there is definitely noticeable difference with having no brake fade. I'll take better pics later.

Sport performance front kit, oem rears, and full brake flush w/Motul fluid

Anyone have a issue with the sport rears fitting super tight? Its definitely causing them to drag more than normal. Discolored the rotors a bit on break in.

At first yes, they are tight to install. And everyone has been saying you want the rotors to discolor, thats how you know they are broken in.

I get that, but driving the car is like having the parking brake partially engaged. They shouldn't be that hot under normal driving conditions. I think my only option at this point is to grind some material off the pads.

I completely know what you're saying, my BP10 pads rubbed against the rotors when I first put them in. Just do the bedding process which should wear the pad material down a little and give some breathing room. Mine were fine after I bedded them.

I had some high performance driving events this weekend (autocross and track) and the bp10s stood up perfectly to everything I threw at them from 80 second autocross runs to 30 minute track sessions. That said, ambient temperatures were 9c/48f yesterday so it was quite cool which may play a part. Running EBC Yellowstuff in the OEM rear seemed to be well matched with the BP10s in the front but I only did the 5 second push to turn TC off. I did not do pedal dance so EBD may be playing a part here. I'll be trying pedal dance next time I go to the track.

Even if ultimate bite isn't there, the name of the game with this setup is control and consistency. The OEM brakes completely lack in comparison, these are SO easy to modulate.

I'll see how they hold up. I've heard people complain the BP series pads tend to wear quickly. I haven't checked the pads yet but I will in a few days when I finish up some outstanding work on my car.

I'm not running the wilwood pads. I thought maybe it was my pad and rotor selection but it seems its just the setup. Ill grind down the pads since i have street pads and race pads that i need to fit.

I removed .015-.020" off the brake pads last night with a belt sander. Seems to have solved the drag. Pretty easy fix.

How do the BP20s in this kit compare to Raybestos ST43 on OEM calipers?

I'm currently looking to buy a BBK since my track is pretty hard on brakes, and I'm moving up to Hankook TD tires once my car is fixed. For the price this kit looks to be the one I might purchase, but I want to know how they compare to the AP racing kit as they are my second choice and everyone seems to swear by them.

Not sure on comparison, but You might want something a little more aggressive than the BP-20s on a heavy braking track. Or you will need to look into cooling. I really don't like the BP-20s, I had some serious fade on a short almost autocross track (Max Speed of 90mph). I also got some fade while at the drag strip the other day, Just stopping from 101/103mph down to 10-15mph to turn for the return road.

That sounds extremely disappointing...

The bp20 pads have low initial bite but I didn't feel any fade with the stage 2 kit on track. If you're comparing to stock braking system, it will handle heat a lot better.
