Because most hetero men won't pay that much attention to their appearance. Hetero dudes, mostly, are convinced however they look is sexy as hell. Ask wives and girlfriends worldwide. Yeah, washcloth hanging off your ****, sexy; she's never seen that before or wanted you more, hetero guy.

Gay guys have to appeal to other guys and knowing how critical hetero guys are to how women look, certainly, gay guys are under a lot of pressure to look amazing. Why dance for women when you don't want to bang any of them? Money.

I put a lot of effort into my appearance yet have no interest in men. And I'm going have to ask for your source on"why dance for women if you don't want to bang any of them". I suspect you've never asked a male stripper if they ever went home with a client/patron/customer/whatever

I don't go to many male strip shows, do you?

Congratulations on all the effort. Look around at your fellow dudes and see how in the minority you are. Know that most of those guys who think drinking a light beer is the equivalent of taking care of themselves think they are just as attractive as you may be to the ladies. Thus, they would dance for them, but can't seem to get work because as it turns out, rabid, drunk women don't go for fatback. They want beefcake. That leaves gay dudes and, well, you.

Hit the pole, man, make your paper.

I considered going once for research as I thought about getting into it myself but I didn't think I could hack it so I never looked into it further. However, your lack of a valid source doesn't justify your stance on their sexual preference. You don't have to go to a show to have met a stripper. I have a second hand account from a Playgirl show... My mom and her friend(female) from work went and one of the dancers offered to go home with the friend if she would drive him to the next show the next day. Also I watched Magic Mike with my gf so I'm practically an expert.

I offer an alternative reason everyone thinks male strippers(and cheerleaders) are gay: we are intimidated by women's attraction to them so we look for a way to make them seem less than ourselves and less threatening. The go to for normal homophobic men is to deem them(or anything) gay. Drawing a parallel between their physique and that of stereotypical gay guys works to solidify this belief despite there being no evidence

Haha, I still haven't seen that one. I did see GI Joe, though. Does that count?

I'm not intimidated by them. They put in hard work and they earned that body. I encourage my wife to check out one of those shows. Yeah, warm her up for me "Rex" or whtever you name is, because she will lay waste to me when she gets home. My assertion that many of them are probably gay is not coming from a place of homophobia, it's just knowing that the average guy is a lazy piece of crap and won't put that kind of work in.

Male cheerleaders is totally different. Those dudes on on that expert level grift! "Yeah, jock, go get your ass kicked on the field. I'll be over here lifting your girl up by her snatch."

Not one word. In fact I cleaned it up and gentled it down. Of course it was my father driving and saying that though. We couldn't take his truck because it not only was missing a floor but also such minor items as, doors, headlights and a back window.
It was a different world back then.

Well, I've mentioned this before, my lease is up in November.

I'm realizing it might be worse financially than I assumed. After playing with some calculators with the last buy price I was quoted, it looks like I'll pay as much for a loan (if not more depending on terms) as I already am for the lease. On top of that will be insurance. I could go from paying around $300 a month to paying $400-$500 a month. I don't like that.

So now I have to decide if I soldier on and keep the FR-S (I do love it) or get something else. I've mused the idea before (there's a thread in the Car OT). It's just rearing it's ugly head again.
You still have a few more months to decide. Take a drive this summer and see how you feel. Can always get that e46 you keep talking about. :P That also comes with its own issues however.

Sweet! If I fail at IT, fail at culinary, and the military won't accept me, guess I'll attempt to go into stripping. Or find a sugar mama and have my car parts paid for.

Little frustrated... Lil over 2 wks ago, I flew back to Japan to help family out from Kumamoto earthquake. Less than an hr ago, received another call from my grandfather that, I need to come back ASAP. I got very limited budget, specially time! I can't take off work this much... Using all my PTO for this.

Whatever, I'll be flying out this wkend right after my gf's graduation...

Hey if you go into stripping you can be an IT guy, chef or any branch of the military every night!
