I saw it about two weeks ago and the guy was washing it in the driveway then when I went by the other day it was sitting out with a fs sign in the windshield. I may be back up that way this week, I can get details if you'd like.

Congrats on the new car; it looks amazing!
R8 aint as good as you might think. Kind of the supercar for people who don't love cars. So many better options for that coin. They are pretty numb.

The 458 is on another level completely

I have to disagree about the people who don't love cars statement.

I've driven both a R8 and LP570-4 Performante, and while they share the same Lamborghini Gallardo platform, their road manners are completely different. The Lamborghini is savage, you feel everything, and it's a chore to drive it for very long. The R8 is docile, compliant, works really well as a DD, and can pass for a GT car.

It's amazing that Audi was able to engineer some sophistication and refinement out of the Gallardo. I was shocked when I drove it -- I was expecting it to behave like a Lambo.

If the 86 is the other car, having an R8 as a companion is not a bad choice.

Haven't started my annual Internet search yet but that is exactly what I am looking for. Probably too far away or way out of my price range though. Those 440s are scarce.

Looks like the Ferrari is worth more than the house.

Fine, a 570s or an AMG GT

Happy now?

R8 is a great DD. Soft, comfy, quiet. A lot of GTR owners don't like them because they feel very over assisted.

Yes it is a great dd, but the OP said he had intention of keeping the 86 for that, so why get another good dd? I'd want some wild shit like a 458 and then something else less crazy. Just my cents.

Of course, I make an offer to help a friend and life gets in the way. My mom died quite unexpectedly last night so my schedule this week is gonna be all messed up. I'll let you know next time I'm up that way if it's still available and what the deal is with it.
