We typically use reverse grids. We had a newbie show up late, gridded last and was first out. He blew right by the starter and had to be called back to the start line. Get there early and grid early so you can see what's going on.

Did my second auto-x yesterday, first being all the way back in August.
I bought a large plastic tub/container to place my stuff in (anything that isn't allowed in the car while running the course). Glad I did since it was raining heavily along with gusts of wind. http://www.lowes.com/pd_336491-62860...d=3341162&pl=1 If its projected to be wet, I'd say bring a poncho (large garbage bags probably works) and extra socks. Wasn't fun yesterday doing both AM and PM sessions in soaked socks.

Got that covered... plus some tools I hope I don't need.

Btw, it would be awesome if that fit in the trunk... but it doesn't.

Not at all necessary but a GoPro or something to record your runs helps. I like to play back my runs on my phone while waiting on grid. Helps me ALOT. And I wouldn't go crazy with the tools. I usually just carry my tool bag that I ride around with all the time.

Ok, last questions... (yeah right)
How much gas should I have in the tank? Should I overfill the (stock) tires and by how much? |

Don't know about tires but overfilling doesn't seem likely - I'm pretty sure there is info on that here or there already. |

Gas depends on how much G's you're pulling. If you're on Hoosiers run 1/4 if you're on street tires run 1/8th.
I ran OEM tires all the way down to like 27 PSI before I got them to wear properly. Chalk your tread/sidewall and see where you're at. Adjust accordingly.
