That's pretty lame of them.

SOP for most companies. Having anyone related to you above you is a no no. Possible favoritism and possible red tape that is just easier to avoid all together.

Yep, most likely. Almost all companies have some level where a close relative can't report to or into the same department as another. I had to deliver this message once....

Two of my employees had been secretly dating (not against policy) and no one knew. One Monday they came into my office and said "Hey, we've been dating a while and this weekend we eloped and are married!" I congratulated them, and we celebrated a few minutes.

Then I had to sit them down and let them know that company policy prevented two married individualsfrom reporting to the same manager, and one of them had to find a new position within the company in 60 days, or one would have to leave the company. Since they were equally valued employees, I would let them decide.

They were completely stunned. It had not occurred to them at any level to check the corporate policy on this (not sure I would have thought about it either).

Fortunately, one of them was able to find another position relatively quickly.

My current company, you can't be married and report to the same VP (one level below CEO), which is even more drastic.

Yup. Mine is you cant be realted to anyone by 2 degrees and be within 2 levels of them on the supervisory chain

Unfortunately, no. I'm in MS; nearest e85 is an hour and a half a way, I beleive. We do have great ethanol free 93, though.

Hoping for some gains with the flash + my TRD Catback/intake.
May add a catted UEL header after I buy wheels/tires and install all the other parts laying around.
