I tried to prefit my dash cluster and yes, a hole will need to be made on the right side. The shop doing my install will have to do some custom cutting to install the dash gauge pod. Pictures to follow in May.

I just bought an ati vent gauge pod and an Ortiz custom dash pod, I'll try to post pics once I receive and install them

I don't think there would be. Airbag deploys from the top of the dash:

What about for the MSA pillar pod? My shop is currently installing this and they had concern about airbag functionality. Can anyone confirm this is safe? I believe I read the the pillar flips up and only so far as the clip will allow. I do not want any face lacerations, etc.

I think the same as Anal0g said, Airbag deploys from the top of the dash and goes over the gauges.
