run it stock with the new tires... what size??? if it were me..I would go with 235/40/17 StarSpecs..they fit on the stock wheel and should offer a decent amount of grip ...and see where you stand with it...I did that last weekend..then I changed a bunch of stuff...some worked...others things...not so sure.....

I have new RPF1's so most likely going with 245 haven't order them yet but our Autox has no rules like scca about tire widths etc so just going for some wider ones all around the car.

Ever think about a slight staggered set up? 245/265? I don't even know. This will be my first RWD car for autoX.

Read earlier info. THis is basically bad idea will also prevent tire rotation in the future.

Hey Bill do you have an update on your stock option BBS wheels with no TPMS in them? Does the TPMS light come on at all?

going to take his advice and run the 1/8" toe in ...in the rear and see how it does...

After about 50 miles or so, the light blinks a bunch and then it stays on solid. After that every time you start the car it blinks a little then stays solid.

Does not affect TCS - verified this at the same event that Bill was at

Hey what about looking at the stock alignment, and then just increasing camber with the same difference in camber front to rear? The car felt awesome with just tires this weekend so maybe the stock alignment isn't such a bad way to start.

I would still check the factory settings..as mine was 'crabbing'... positive on one side...negative on the other..

Man I miss autocrossing in Milwaukee. Did you ever have to shift to 3rd in the BRZ or bang off the limiter? When you weren't spinning?

OK...quickie poll:

KW Variant 3's or AST 4150's...

KW Positives: Available NOW...Well known National Champion endorsed. Bump and Rebound adjustment. compatible spring rates..can use a 2.5 in spring, Stainless steel bodies, helper springs. can be integrated with plates.

AST 4150 Positives: Proven performance, Contingency program, can be integrated with Plates. comes with 2.5 in springs, Individual Height adjustment not interferring with Spring Pre-load.

Negatives:
KW: kinda funky adjustment points, not really height adjustable unless you consider spring preload, Stainless steel bodies

AST: Single adjustable, Steel bodies for the front Struts. not available till Julyish????

which would you go with...or is there something that you would consider???
BC?
Tein?
Koni inserts?

Bill (getting antsy for good suspension)
