I had an asphalt on order, but when I saw the hot lava one at scions drive event, I immediately changed my order to hot lava. Honestly both are good colors.

I myself am on the fence as well. From day one I knew I wanted Hot Lava but then I saw the Asphalt and it is amazing. I am still torn but to be honest, I know I would be more than happy with either!!

I love my asphalt! Looks great in the sunlight and at night time, goes well with the stock wheels, and just looks mean.

I own a frs asphalt and love it. i like how its not dark like the raven or light color like the argento. The plus side is not that many people have hot lava or the asphalt color so what ever you pick you will get people looking at your car.

Asphalt was my second color choice, but once I seen it in person it became my favorite.
Goes with the car very well, in my opinion it looks better than the other colors. |

Just put my deposit down for the Hot Lava. Have to wait 6 weeks for the car.
Isn't there a rumor that the Lava is only going to be offered for 1 year? Wouldn't this make it even more rare? |

Hot Lava is freaking sex on this car. The Asphalt is nice, but I'd wait for the Lava.

I was in your same position between Raven and Asphalt. Once I saw the the Asphalt in person, I reserved it. Decision is all yours. Which ever color you pick, there's no wrong choice.

Rare? lol. Guess it depends on the area. Would be nice if we could get a "production number by color" thread going. I have seen 2-3 in the socal area of that color soo far. However, I have only seen 1 Firestorm FR-S of the 6-7 I have seen and 1 Ultramarine. 1 Ultramarine, 1 Firestorm (The Five Axis owner's car, so don't know if it really counts), 1 Raven, 2-3 Hot Lava, 1 Argento, 1 Whiteout, 1 Asphalt.

Don't settle. Get the color that you want. Personally all the colors look good. But I like the hot lava vs the asphalt(its close) If I were in your shoes, I don't think I could wait.
