The 17x9 +35 in a 5x100 setup is a limited run for the 86. Thus official weight is unlisted on the Weds website. Here is what my human scale told me.

The setup. Discount Tire was cool about letting me be in the garage and learning about what they do. I was super happy to be there cause they almost put on my wheels with impact tools. Nope!

Discount Tire told me they'd dismount the OEM tire and pull the TPMS sensor to transfer to the new setup as part of the deal. Here is a picture of the sensor. It is attached to the valve stem.

I don't know how calibrated my scale was. What was important to me was the difference in weight. Stock wheels are 40.6 lbs. TC105N with Star Specs were 42.4. Damn.... Anyway it is pretty good for what I'm putting on. Yeah, I brought a scale with me to Discount Tire. Hah

Thoughts so far

I drove 200 miles so far on this setup. Haven't taken it to a track yet. It definitely gives me more confidence in what I'm doing. Just grip for miles. Since the wheels now weigh more, I can definitely feel the sluggishness at start. Brakes fine. I figure a headerback exhaust may balance out the unsprung weight gain. The Star Specs do have a different audible characteristic. I find the OEM Michelins to grumble and have a deeper tone. These Star Specs definitely howl, but it's not annoying. I could probably fix some of that with sound deadener. For rubbing, I believe that other people threw on 17x9 +42s and they fit fine so the +35 offset should be good. I haven't felt anything bad in my driving so far.

In terms of looks, the rear looks great. The front sticks out a little bit as the pictures below show. However, stance. I got plenty of that now. Overall it looks sorta hokey, but I love the way it drives and that is what counts. Now for photos; please enjoy them as much as I did taking them.

Questions I have

If anyone would like to help me answer these quick questions, I'd appreciate it greatly

* Since my wheels stick out, I have to add negative camber if I lower it?
* What is the daily driving PSI for this setup? Discount Tire said 35psi, but I have no experience with aftermarket wheels.
* Will a headerback gain balance out the unsprung weight gain? I was just guessing up there.

did your stock tpms sensors fit flush/flat on your weds wheels? no gap?

Eibach Prokit, Cusco adjustable LCA's next.
I seem to have a good amount of camber resulting in a visible 1.5" reduced contact patch on the right side. Really accentuates the stock camber. Can't wait to get an alignment after the springs so see how big the difference is.

Lowered ~1.4" (recommended settings for Tein SRC) with -3.3° front, -2.8° rear camber. 255/40/17 Bridgestone RE71-R. Pondering ordering a run of those custom centercap/centering rings.

These take a 56mm x 65mm hub centric ring @Pish

SOOOO excited about these Weds I just picked up second hand. Took them straight to the powdercoater. Finished in a Spanish gold plus clear coat at Killer Koatings in Cincinnati Ohio. Couldn't be happier. These are 17x9+35 wrapped in 245/40r17 Hankook Ventus R-S3s. Cant wait to see these mounted on my black BRZ!

Specs to help others:
17x9 +35 (obviously)
245/45 Hankook Ventus V12
MachV lowering springs for about a 1" drop
Front Camber: -1.5* (SPC camber bolts in the LOWER hole)
Rear Camber: -2.0* (Au naturel)
No rubbing at all, roughly 1cm of clearance to the spring perch.

Lowered on Tein Flex Z. Completely maxed out in the front (two rings removed) and maxed out shock length in the back with half an inch to an inch (can't remember exactly) of pre-load left.
