Well that way my first time doing it so it wasn't very easy haha.

Probably a lot easier if you have the arm rest since you can hide the edges under it.

The hardest part of the center console is the edges inside for the pocket and square part. It can get super messy and lift if you don't do it properly. If you have the armrest to cover up, it's easier.

Wrapping the center is all about your approach. The mistake most make is to start at the top and work down. Since it flares out horizontally if you start up top you will have issues with wrinkles. Start on the passenger side and work up. Cut out material where the ebrake cover goes, that will let the front section effectively rotate forward a little as you go from the top over to the driver side.

It is definitely a ton easier if you have the armrest, you don't have to worry about a nice sharp edge inside the cubby opening.

Thanks for the advice! One question I have is: do you mock up the material and trim it, then glue it? I just wrapped my amp rack, but straight wood isn't the same.

I usually leave the bulk there, get the passenger side glued and then mock fit the rest.

Use only 3m super 90 spray glue for best results and have a full newspaper on hand. Make sure you always cover any exposed good side of alcantara if you are spraying anywhere near it. If you do get it on the nice side Wax and Grease remover for painting prep is a good way to get it out. Just wipe with soap and water after to get the remover smell off.

Since I do so many of these, I have a pattern drawn up and cut it. Then put adhesive on both sides and get it in. It was super hard when we first started, but nowadays, it's much easier and faster.
