I believe it is still a cavern.. IIRC from elementary school field trips to the wailing caverns here in CA

I think if it has goblins its a cave and if it has unidentified or super rare monsters then it's a cavern.

That's partly why CO is so much more dangerous. The body doesn't perceive it as a threat.

Yes, you would be uncomfortable and want to leave well before any asphyxiation occurred but the nature of the discomfort can trigger other issues (i.e. heart, panic) which could cause problems. Wanting to leave and being able to leave are two different things.

If the limestone formations are growing, it's a cavern. This requires liquid water to be seeping or flowing. Also, a lot of caverns fill up with rain during a big storm and then as the water runs out, the limestone formations continue to grow.

The word "cave" is supposed to apply only to a former cavern that is no longer able to grow new limestone formations because it has dried out.

Obviously, the words are used interchangeably in normal speech. I was just interested to have the actual difference explained to me last year!

Day two of 80+ degrees in my room. I tried to force myself to sleep in here last night and barely slept at all so tonight I'm sleeping on the couch downstairs.

The sad thing is, there's a perfectly good window unit air conditioner in the basement which I bought specifically because it's always hot in here during warmer months. But on my dad and I can muscle it into the window. I'd drop it out if I tried by myself, and he's on a work trip. Luckily, he comes back tomorrow.

You know, I did go back a bit and I saw you bring it up a while back. I decided to let it go because it was days old, but here you are again, bringing it back up like a dog with a bone haha. It's really a gross prospect.

@HunterGreene, @Tcoat, I didn't have much faith in it but my daughter reported that it went over HUGE. They went on a second dry ice run in the afternoon because it was an absolute necessity. She was the hero of the day.
