Yea, but if I was, I wouldn't be doing it on here, so no one would know. Honestly, no such thing as TOO of either of those, although I do agree about the usable power comment. Like @Tcoat I would be tempted to get the V6 but would probably give in in the end.

Same here. I'm the first guy off the light, and rarely get "outrun". Had the whole subject not come up on here, I would have never noticed it. Heck, during the First86 test drive in Long Beach not a single one of the drivers mentioned it as something they observed.

I pretty much adjust my driving style to the vehicle and its quirks. I drive our Suburban differently than I do MomHawk's Mustang, then my FR-S.

Isn't the whole point of those cars to have way more than you need(or even want)? I kinda feel like the v6 would be like if they put a hybrid 1.3 in the FRS. Sure you have a good looking car but kinda defeats the purpose

No I think the car works fine my point was I can hardly find a time except like 3am when I can really open it up full retard.

What is "the purpose"? The V6 would work perfectly fine as a quick and nimble DD and that is the "purpose" that I would want it for. My drag racing days are over, I do not post my HP on Facebook or Instagram, and could not possibly care less if Bubba at the car meet tells me that the car needs a V8 to be real.


Does adding sticker tires, body kits, big wings and FI to the FRS not "defeat the purpose" of it?

Does adding sticker tires, body kits, big wings and FI to the FRS not "defeat the purpose" of it?

It's not going to be as light though either with a V8 though is it? I mean there is something to be said for an effcient CAR. Forget MPGs or even effcient power, if you don't have to slow down for the turns you don't have to accelerate again back out of them.

I feel they add to the purpose. My wing doesn't hinder my ability to do anything but will improve traction on the track. Isn't the FRS supposed to be a cheap race car anyways?

Umm the geometry. The weight in this car is very well placed. I mean a supercharger might not change much but an LS1 or something would get nose heavy no?
