Ah, didn't know suede will succumb to UV exposure but I believe he treats it with UV protectant (if it is suede).

Been working on my interior a bit. He is some work in progress on my center console cup holder. Need to get the alcantara and wrap it.

Can you send me a quote on the dashboard (both pieces, passenger and then the head unit surround) and the gauge cover above the cluster?
Hey there!

Using Suede hence our brand name SWEIDIT. haha

We are planning to expand our line to use Alcantara too but that's just a whole another business. Much more expensive for the material and labor involved. Suede has softer surface than Alcantara.

PMing you!

^ He's right! We use UV protection product for all the finished panels.

No doubt alcantara is more expensive material wise, but why would you say labor? I would think it would be easier to work with. That gauge hood pictures above has wrinkles along the bottom edge where it was wrapped under, that won't happen with alcantara if applied correctly so I would think it must be more forgiving.

Because Alcantara fabric doesn't stretch and some Suede fabrics stretch. I do this for a living, so have done way too much research on everything. To go around the curves and edges without the seams, Alcantara needs to be heat pressed or stitched up which that takes at least twice longer to perfect it. It must be the picture because I've done about 35 Cluster Hood so far for FRS/BRZ, and they don't have any wrinkles!

You can check out all of our work for other cars in the Flickr (Flickr.com/js85) We started with FRS/BRZ but expanded out to about 15 cars so far.

Awesome work... looks great! One of the sharpest interiors I've seen on an 86!

Looks great! How hard was it to wrap the center console with Alcantara? I have just enough left over to wrap mine. I also have the same console cover.
