Also sick of hearing how the car has to wound up to be any good. They can in fact be driven as a normal car with zero issues.

Yeah it's definitely a personal preference thing. For me I prefer a MT in a smaller car, but in a big car or truck you might as well have the auto. Just my opinion though, I mean if you would rather have an AT because you dive in traffic all the time or you just like to focus on other things whatever, to each they own...

There was a day and not that long ago when the MT was almost required to get smaller cars to move properly since the ATs were crap. That day is gone and I just get MT now out of habit.

I agree that the difference becomes much less everyday. And yeah I too like it mostly just for the fun factor. Still, I do think there are some advantages especially in smaller cars. I mean my 74 Lincoln would be almost undriveable in a manual, but I'll bet I could beat my clone in a race with a AT 86..

Spike with new girl about becoming an item last night. I'm "too similar to her ex" so far, so she's hesitant to jump into something with me. I asked her if she wanted to make things more official than what we're doing, but the timing is bad.

Everybody is just going through the quarterly angry phase. The silly phase should be along again by the end of the month if the standard pattern is followed. But then after that we swing straight into the dumb question period and that can get very close to the angry phase if not handled right.

I'll admit, the angry phase is one of the reasons why I decided to step away from the forum for a bit.
