Bailed on my special order FR-S
Great looking car, really enjoyed a canyon test drive..down hill was a blast on the tight corners.
Really just didn't feel anything for the car. Decided to step back and think about the purchase for a few weeks. Just yesterday a neighbor decided to sell his dodge Viper, went over to check it out.......my palms were sweaty just looking at it. 2004 Viper with a Paxton Supercharger complete kit w/full exhaust and supporting mods, car has 6K miles on it. Fired it up, instant adrenalin. Needless to say, I am now a Viper owner...what a sick sick sick ride. Love it. I will take another look at the FR-S / BRZ in the future, good luck to all !!

I respect the performance (and engine note!) of the Viper but I've never been enthused about it's looks.
I can't argue with your choice though. |

200hp....600hp. 4 cylinders....10 cylinders. 2L....8.3L. 2 doors....2 doors.
Oh I found the similarity! They've both got 2 doors right? Needless to say, nice ride. |

I assume this viper cost you under $30K, right.....? Or am I missing something... lol
If it costs how much I think it costs, IMO I would have rather spent it on a turbo kit for the 86. That adrenaline feeling wears off lol... sports cars are notorious for being impulse buys considering how much they cost.

I'm sure a used Viper of that gen is minimally north of 40k, but I don't think there's anything wrong with cross-shopping it with other sports cars. Just because you can afford a more expensive car, that doesn't mean less expensive cars won't surprise you.
I like the Viper, though. Sweet ride. |

Sooooo, if you can afford an 04 supercharged Viper as well as the fuel, upkeep and most importantly the insurance that comes along with it, couldnt you swing the FR-S too?

I see why he chose the more HP, look at all those trucks in his neighborhood, would be an ego killer to have all of them overtaking him from a set of lights ^_^

Yeah, I think I'm gonna bail on my BRZ.... I took a test ride in a new McLaren and although it was a tough decision the latest horsepower bump on the McL changed my mind. Sorry BRZ.

Good for you man! Im sure near death experiences are a great way to keep the adrenaline pumping and palms sweating + a SC nonetheless. Hellava ride, wave bye to most other cars; as long as the road is straight, or you are feeling ballsy.
