It's just so much work, man. It's a real pain in **** to be bending down too, since I have a work related back injury (sidebar: apparently carrying 100+ pounds of kit and walking over shitty terrain doesn't count for a work related injury, wtf?) So it was a bit tortuous.

As a once a year thing, maybe I'll do it next spring, but, it's hard to say. A lot of the fallout that I wanted to remove took too much work to coax out, so I just focused on making the paint smooth.

I could do it for you, in exchange for beer and good company. Won't be perfect, but it beats risking a fall and a broken hip

I'm with you on that.
Some people enjoy it but I fucking hate it.

I have no problem doing other work on the car (I actually enjoy it most of the time) but I've always hated the clay and wax or detailing in general.

That's what I'm saying. I'll do 90% of work on my car, so long as I have the tools and feel comfortable with it.

But, claying isn't fun. My hands were so sore about 10 minutes in, all the bending and all the commitment it takes to do it 100℅ proper is just awful.

Seeing the end result was very nice, paint is mega smooth and reflects like crazy.

Then took it for a drive, felt the fenders afterwards, back to being not smooth from all the pebbles pelting the fenders. Damn wide wheels. The sacrifices I make for dat grip lyfe.
